“Rat Trap”

(Lyrics by Phillip A. Laudin)

Oh man, you’re getting taken for a hideous ride.

From top to bottom in such a short period of time,

But that’s how it goes –

You’re being pulled by the pubes by life’s strong-ass grip.

Once it has you it won’t let go until it wants to

Or until it kills you.

You have a sickness that hurts,

And a doctor that will show you half way to the only cure then…

That will be everything in your pocket, please.

You have to pay the man for all of his troubles.

Too bad you can’t afford your prescription,

But maybe you won’t die this time.

Good luck and thank you for your contribution you made.

That’s life, it’s constant torment.

But it sucks for us all – not just you.

No matter how much we try to help each other out,

No matter how long and strong we hold on,

In the end it’s life’s call –

If you’re gonna get sick, you’re gonna get sick.

And if you’re gonna die, you will.

At least you can live ‘till your prescription runs out,

Along with everything you own.

I wish I can wave my magic dick and make everything ok,

But then it wouldn’t be life then, would it?

That will be everything in your pocket, please.

You have to pay the man for all of his troubles.

Too bad you can’t afford your prescription,

But maybe you won’t die this time.

Good luck and thank you for your contribution you made.

That’s life, it’s constant torment.

But it sucks for us all.

You won’t be here forever.

One day you’ll be gone, then no more tears.

But in the mean time you’re here,

So might as well make something of this FunFullyPointless-Ly life.

Go to school or get a job,

Sell some drugs or smoke some nugs.

Or sell some bongs or boles or clothes in a shop in Soho.

But just don’t sit there waiting to die!

You have to try!

It’ll always be everything in your pocket.

The source of problems comes from financial troubles.

Too bad you can’t afford your prescription,

But maybe you won’t die this time.

Good luck and thank you for your contribution you made.

That’s life, it’s constant torment,

But it sucks for us all –
